Bronx Upzoning Developers Face Strong Opposition at Community Board 10 Meeting in Throggs Neck

On April 19, 2022, Bronx Community Board 10 hosted a public meeting at St. Benedict's Church on a proposed mixed-use property development in Throggs Neck. The Bruckner Boulevard development would require an amendment to the current zoning of this low-density neighborhood, which opponents say will open the door to additional upzoning and overdevelopment.

The developers gave a presentation on their proposal, community members opposed to the project spoke, and City Council Member Marjorie Velázquez spoke.
