Russian sausage tycoon Pavel Antov has been found dead in an Indian hotel, just two days after a friend died during the same trip. Antov, who was also a local politician in Vladimir, Russia, was visiting the eastern state of Odisha and had recently celebrated his birthday at the hotel. Reports in Russian media suggest that Antov fell from a window at the hotel in the city of Rayagada on Sunday. The other member of the group, Vladimir Budanov, died at the hotel on Friday. According to Superintendent Vivekananda Sharma of Odisha police, Budanov suffered a stroke, while Antov was reportedly "depressed" after his friend's death and also died. The Russian consul in Kolkata stated that police did not see a "criminal element" in the deaths. Antov, who was 65, was estimated by Forbes to be worth $140 million and was the head of a committee on agrarian policy and ecology in the legislative assembly of Vladimir.
