A unique gastronomic journey to the City of Light, Paris, was carried out by Gastronomy Essentials, in the period 11-17 December 2022.

14 professionals from the catering industry had the opportunity to attend a 3-day training program 'Hands on', at the brand new school of the great French Chef Alain Ducasse, the École Ducasse, in the Meudon district, in Paris.

The training, which was conducted by the school's Chef, Florian Gravelle, focused on three (themes) of modern gastronomy: Brunch & Breakfast, Back from the Market (private chef) and Best-Of International Street Food.

The section "Journey to the Heart of Gastronomy", organized annually by Gastronomy Essentials in recent years, has returned dynamically after an absence of two years, due to the Coronavirus

The one-week journey was not limited to 'Hands on' training. The participants had the opportunity to visit various parts of Paris, with gastronomic interest. They had lunch at Alain Ducasse's two-Michelin-starred restaurant, 'Le Meurice', as well as on board the Seine, at the riverboat-restaurant 'Sur Seine' built by Alain Ducasse a few years ago.
The unique flavors based on French techniques and the fairytale environment, contributed to two amazing nights full of unforgettable experiences.

But it wasn't just the evenings that made this trip unique. During the day, between the days of training, visits were made to the legendary Ritz Paris hotel and the 'Ecole Ritz Escoffier' cooking school located within the hotel, in the Place Vendome, where the majestic atmosphere was reminiscent of renaissance and sophistication eras.

The smells and flavors from the chocolate factory 'Le Chocolat', from 'Le Café' and 'Le Biscuit' of Alain Ducasse, in the Bastille region of Paris, were characteristic of the French capital, giving a sense of warmth to winter Paris.

The dreamy Christmas setting and the walks in Montmartre, the Arc de Triomphe, the Opera House, the Champs Elysees, the famous French Bistros, the Eiffel Tower... unfolded a Paris full of light and amazing architecture teeming with life, combining the aristocratic feeling of the Renaissance with today.

A journey where knowledge was passed on in the best way, so that it remains deeply engraved in the minds and hearts of the participants!

A journey to the heart of gastronomy!
