M4A1(75) Sherman Dozer Walkaround - Ettelbruck.

Production of the M4A1 tank began in February 1942
after the British placed an order,
it would have had a cast nose, turret and a one-piece cast hull,
with a 75mm cannon.
The A1 was manufactured by Lima Locomotive Works.

These tanks were designed on British specs and were fitted
with the Continental R-975 air-cooled radial engine.
The M4A1 would be replaced on December 1943,
by the M4A1(76)w, which received a more
recent 76 mm M1 main gun.

Some of the M4A1 tanks would be the base of
the special attachment dozerblade.

British variants formed part of the group of
specialized vehicles collectively known as "Hobart's Funnies".

This Sherman Dozer has no historical information and
was placed here in the 1960, ofcourse the blade was removed
so it could be placed here as a monument.
