Pashinyan told Putin that Lachin corridor out of control of Russian peacekeepers for 20 days

Russian President Vladimir Putin holds a bilateral meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Mr. Putin said that yesterday the three of them had a chance to talk with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of an informal CIS summit. He did not provide details of the conversation.

Vladimir Putin and Mr. Pashinyan began the conversation by discussing the situation in the South Caucasus and Nagorno-Karabakh. The Armenian prime minister said that the Lachin corridor connecting Karabakh with Armenia has been out of control of Russian peacekeepers for 20 days.

“You know, the Lachin corridor has been closed for almost 20 days... Now it turns out that the Lachin corridor is not under the control of Russian peacekeepers. Of course, I would like to discuss this situation, what are the options,” said Nikol Pashinyan, quoted by the Kremlin press service.

The two-day summit in St. Petersburg will end today, December 27th.
