Luke 16 is not a parable and "What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? (Ephesians 4:9) Abraham's bosom was not fiery ...he also crossed over and preached to those across the great gulf which was 'fiery' (so he wasn't in agony in hell as some query)

Also in 1 Peter 3:18 - 19 "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made ALIVE in the Spirit. 19. After being made ALIVE he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits"

(but millions upon millions of spirits..there is no number of the righteous dead. This links to Luke 16 on the other side of Abraham's Bosom..SO JESUS WAS NOT 'DEAD IN 'HELL' death was real in Eden for men and woman. Until Jesus took his blood into heaven after the 3rd day resurrection. David said he knew God would not leave his soul in Sheol Psalm 16:10 & Acts 2:27 David in the paradise of Abraham's bosom. Jesus spirit did not 'die in Abraham's bosom; etc
