Creative Christmas Cottage Part 1 - Do I Have What It Takes?

Welcome to my second ever LongPlay, and this one's a doozy! I wanted to have this all wrapped up for you in time for Christmas, but I failed :(

In this video I attempt to straddle the seeming chasm between being a professional builder who adds excessive details to the outside of a building but throws functionality out the window, or being practical builder who puts function before form. I am also struggling with my minimalist aesthetic.

I am trying to tell a story with this building, and the example I aspire to is Scar of GoodTimesWithScar. He is teaching me through his own videos how this is done. Though we have never spoke to each other and the guy likely doesn't even know I exist, and though our styles are dissimilar, he is the one Minecrafter I know who actually does manage to combine design, functionality and story in all he does.

This video was rushed out, so I don't have chapters or any sort of section, no intro cards, and I didn't get the dedication I wanted in it. I'll have to do something with the thumbnail, which is also not ready. But this build is dedicated to one of my most loyal and supportive viewers. He knows who he is... You gave me the idea for this, thank you.
