Amazon Studios executive Vernon Sanders recently stated that the second season for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will double down on the first season’s diversification of Middle-earth through its casting. This is quite contrary to what other execs have said. Just a short time ago Amazon reps were saying that the next season would be a more faithful adaptation to J.R.R. Tolkien's great work. Well I'm sure it will come as no shock to anyone that this isn't the case. Now Vernon Sanders is telling us that the company will bringing in more characters from the books and will continue to diversify the characters to represent a more modern picture of the world.
