Is this the best maternity dress ever?

Regency era dresses have really grown on me over the years. With their flattering empire waists, light and flowy fabric, they are very translatable to a modern day, "elegant everyday" wardrobe. How do you feel about Regency era dresses? Think BBC Pride and Prejudice 💕

The best part? Regency era dresses seem tailor made to accommodate life seasons of pregnancy and breastfeeding. 😍

I fell in love with the extant dress from 1805 featured in Patterns of Fashion 1, with its delightful pin tucks, bias cut bodice and sleeves, not to mention built-in bust support. I drafted a version of that pattern to fit my body, and plan on making another version in a different fabric. ♥️
