Crisis for Americans - Communist Accent on Youth 1961
Communist Accent on Youth, the first film to be released in the Pepperdine College sponsored "Crisis for Americans" film series, uses newsreel footage, narration, and special guest appearances to (in the filmmakers' view) expose the tactics of Soviet-based international communism and the treat it poses to nations around the globe. Released in 1961, the film focuses on the susceptibility of youth and the need for a greater focus on education in combating communism. Examples of communist propaganda and action include the Soviet's response to the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Speakers to appear in the film include William J. Teague, Vice President of Pepperdine College, and Major William E. Mayer, US Army psychologist. The film is narrated by radio, television, and film personality Harry Von Zell.
