Putin says he's open to peace talks, continues attacking

The Russian military says it shot down a Ukrainian drone Monday near a Russian airbase, killing three of their own servicemen in the process. The attack comes after the Kremlin unleashed strikes on Ukraine during the Christmas weekend, despite Russian President Vladimir Putin claiming he's prepared to negotiate peace. U.S. officials say Putin's words are empty so long as Russian missiles continue to fall on Ukraine.
