The Tunic achievement guide showing how to defeat the Garden Knight Boss and ring the west bell needed for the Dong achievement/trophy.

When the boss slams the sword to side, it will swing directly in front of it side-to-side. Immediately move/dodge away from the boss and hold block. If the boss aims the sword, hold block while strafing to the side and moving closer to the boss for a few hits after the attack. Lastly, when the guardian raises the sword, it will slam down 3 times. To avoid these hits, dodge left or right 3 times before moving in for a few hits.

If you're having trouble, make sure you upgrade your stats at a nearby save point. Just walk up to the save point and press LB/L1 to bring up the inventory and offer the items in the bottom right corner. You can also get bonus damage on the guardian by collecting your body, causing an explosion.
