Performance Notes:
“The Magic of Christmas” is a collection of several of the most well-known secular Christmas carols. With an approximate duration of 11 minutes, the piece is designed to be performed by a brass band, with or without an accompanying choir (SATB, SAB, or SSA). Because excessive divisi passages were avoided, it may also be played by a brass and percussion ensemble of as few as twenty players. Additionally, if sufficient percussion players are not available to manage all the parts, or less common instruments are unavailable, those some may be omitted or substituted.
