Results
-greater use of sauna shows lower risk of
dying from cardiovascular event
Sauna temperature: 80C [176F] to 100C [212F]
Length of exposure:
-5 to 20 minutes per session
-short exposure can be beneficial if hot enough
Findings
-2 to 3 times/week: 27% less likely to die
from cardiovascular event...than 1/week
-4 to 7 times/week: 50% less likely to die
