A pimp will always supply a young victim with the motivation to work as a prostitute. No one thinks that they’re going to be a prostitute forever. They’re only going to do it for a little while. It’s a temporary solution to a problem. A pimp may take a girl and wine her and dine her and make love to her and buy her clothes, and then he may say, “I can’t be with you anymore because I’ve been paying for these things because I’m a drug dealer and someone stole my drugs and the mafia’s going to kill me now, so I’m just here to say goodbye.” And the young woman has fallen in love with him and she’ll do anything in order to help him, and there’s one way that she can help, and that would be by earning quick money so he can pay off the mafia so he can live and they can continue their romance, and that solution would be prostitution. A good pimp knows that if he gets a girl involved in prostitution, the more sex she performs for money, the more committed she’ll become to staying in that role.
