A16 Tauchain: Expert Perspective on Its Limitations #shorts

Q: What are the limitations of Tauchain?
A: For now, we don’t know how to trust computers, in their connection with the external world. We will still need humans. Whether we one day find a way to eliminate this limitation or not, I don’t know. For now, we will need humans. For example for democracy, if we would like democracy over Tau in the conventional sense, that every human has a unique vote, we will need the outside world for that. We will need the notaries for that because, in a decentralized network, machines cannot truthfully uniquely identify humans. The connection of the machine with the external world is by some sensors, and you could always feed the sensors what they want to hear. So you could always create a billion new identities and then one person can have a billion votes. So the human interface will be essential. It will take quite some time until the machine will be able to do everything.
