Memes, memeplex, power and intelligibility
What are memes? Do they have power over us? Are they universally intelligible? Bret Weinstein talks about them as a form of evolution, is this a good way to think about them? How can we understand memes?
In this talk, Manuel Post and I dig into these issues, prompted by the talk between Jonathan Pageau and Bret Weinstein. We deal with power, memes, distributed cognition, wisdom, evolution and more.
