Indiana police said officers replaced Christmas gifts that were stolen during a burglary in South Bend on Christmas Eve.

According to the South Bend Police Department, units responded to a breaking and entering call on Saturday morning and learned that children’s Christmas gifts had been stolen.

Police reached out to the organizers of the local South Bend FOP Lodge #36 “Santa’s Elficers” program, who had leftover toys from a recent drive.

Video posted to Facebook shows the children seeing their new gifts on Saturday. Police said officers also brought over food for the family.

“This is what serving our community is all about,” the post reads.
