Halo is Windows

We all should have known. Halo Infinite is a classic Microsoft release. Halo Infinite is shaping up to be the Windows 11 of the gaming world. Yes it looks nice, with a pretty UI but core features are missing or changed and long time users are pissed off and leaving for other platforms.

As with every Microsoft release, we all should have waited until the first service pack was released. Typically, a year after initial release.

No Co-op - Can't move the task bar

No forge - Can't resize the start menu

Technical debt - No coherent design

Doesn't work on old PCs - Doesn't work on any PC :)

No Cortana - No Cortana

This is typical of modern software release. Get a minimum viable product out the door and then charge users to test it for you while you complete all the features it should have shipped with.

Why aren't 343 using the Halo Insider build to test new features. Content creators would fill the communication void by showing off potential new game modes and generate hype in the same way as the insider program does for Windows.

Sadly, I think they've missed their window (boom boom) and the bells have started to toll.
