The Phantom was created as a comic strip in 1936 so he is the first costumed superhero and everything that came after is a derivative of The Phantom. A super hero right from the pages of pulp fiction is popular all around the world. Some comic book greats Like Alex Ross and Graham Nolan have worked on The Phantom. Lee Falk's character has been in movies tv shows video games and novels.
