Favourable weather conditions forecast for Sydney to Hobart race

The long-range forecast for the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race is looking "very favourable" for those aiming for line honours, according to Sky News Meteorologist Alison Osborne.

A north-easterly wind will favour a fast race, particularly those aiming to complete the race in under two days.

However, windy conditions may not be favourable for those smaller boats as the window for good conditions is narrow.
