Horizon Forbidden West - Hunting Grounds Trophy Guide

Hunting Ground trials are spread across 4 locations on the map with 3 trials at each. Leave this trophy until near the end when you have the following equipment and skills:
• Shock weapon
• Shock traps
• Frost weapon
• Shredder Gauntlet
• Plasma Boltblaster
• Clawstrider override

The Shock and Trap Trial can be tricky to complete. Run up to the base of an environmental trap and place a shock trap at its base, far enough from the trap to be in the path of destruction. Next, lure the machine into the shock trap and trigger the environmental trap as soon as the machine is shocked.

For the Silent Gliding Trial, immediately glide to the first machine on the right and take it out. Then, climb the hill, wait for the second machine, and glide/kill it just as it passes by the hill.

You will need to move left/right to catch Shredders for Shredder Catch Trial. You need to practice a few times to get the timing correct. Keep your distance from the machines, giving you time to see the return path and only move once you know which way you're going. If you start moving the wrong direction, you won't catch the Shredder. Catch a Shredder 3 times in a row and the 4th throw will cause an explosion.

For the Plasma Blast Trial, shoot the machine to build up the plasma charge. Then, wait for the timer to count down while you add a little extra plasma to increase the explosion. After the explosion, repeat the process. Make sure you don't forget to reload the Boltblaster (L2 + Square).

During the Mounted Combat Trial, you will need to finish off the Clawstriders with your mount attacking (R2 while mounted). Use your bow to lower the Clawstriders' health before killing them with the final blow.

Completing 3 trials at one hunting ground will unlock the first trophy. The second trophy unlocks after completing the 12th trial.
