Wiembilla Police Shootings Queensland Australia

Interesting information of the area and Nathaniel Train who was shot by police after being harassed by them for an alleged border breach in December 2021 to attend a protest. Police lied. The story read:

Queensland police reveal officers were following up an outstanding warrant for police shooter Nathaniel Train relating to border breach from December 2021, as well as a missing person report, when they attended the Wiembilla property last week."

So they lied. It wasn't a welfare check.

About 6 hours ago, Queensland Police admitted they'd visited the Train property multiple times (it's not clear how many times exactly0 throughout the year, looking for former school teacher Nathaniel Train. He was being investigated for "crossing a state border illegally" (during covid lockdowns) carrying firearms registered to him.

It's becoming clear the Train family felt harassed, had (likely) travelled to attend protests against the lockdowns, were trying to evade arrest and had grown paranoid.

FAIR QUESTION:
Why did the police lie to the press and the public for 2 weeks, fail to mention the warrant for Nathaniel's arrest and pretend their last visit was "just a welfare check?" Following up a warrant and jumping a locked gate intending to find and arrest somebody isn't a welfare check. What else are they hiding?
