‘Let Hong Kong be Hong Kong again’: Inbound travellers welcome lifting of Covid curbs

Hong Kong scrapped the use of its “Leave Home Safe” app and removed most of its Covid restrictions for incoming travellers, starting on December 14, 2022. Previously, all arriving passengers had been subject to pandemic curbs, which prevented them from entering venues like restaurants, gyms and beauty parlours during their first three days in the city. Now they only have to take two PCR tests, including one on arrival, as well as rapid antigen tests for five days. Some of the first travellers to arrive in Hong Kong following the easing of restrictions told the Post they're happy about the new policy.
