Protesters rally against abolition of basic income subsidy in Italy

Hundreds of protesters gathered in Palermo, Italy to protest the government’s plan to scrap the social subsidy for those fit to work. The basic income allowance was introduced by the Conte government, which the current government intends to change and abolish by 2024.
