Sentencing underway for Dutch man who extorted BC teen Amanda Todd

The sentencing hearing has begun for Aydin Coban, the Dutch man found guilty of several offences against Amanda Todd, the British Columbia teen who died by suicide in 2012.

Todd was just 15 when she died after posting a video where she used flash cards to describe the impact of what she experienced from an online harasser.

Since her death, millions of people have watched that video.

Coban was eventually convicted of tormenting her over a period of three years.
