- Russia continues to set conditions for possibly declaring "people's republics" in other areas than Donbas/Crimea. Switching to Russian Ruble in Kherson, Melitopol, Volnovakha. Russia replacing local governments (mayor in Kherson, regional governor late last month). Distributing DPR passports to "Newly Liberated Territories". Cutting fiberoptics/controlling narrative/communications. Ukraine has threatened to cease negotiations because of this.
- Russian forces entered the Azovstal Steel Plan on May 4th
- Ukraine conteinues to disrupt logistics chains, destroying a Russian Supply Convoy in Vesele (E40 near Izyum) on May 3.
- US Defense: 10 total BTG's have redeployed from Mariupol are being rested and refit for combat operations in Eastern Ukraine, about 2,000 Russian Personnel including Chechens totalling 2 BTG.
