A nova Matilda é vivida por Alisha Weir (Darklands), mais uma vez como a jovem dotada de poderes especiais que, maltratada pelos pais é enviada a uma escola dirigida com punho de ferro pelo cruel Trunchbull.

Retornando como musical, Matilda: O Musical estreia na Netflix no dia 25 de dezembro.
