Transformers Studio Series '86 - Rumble Review

In this unboxing / review, we’ll be taking a detailed look at the Transformers Studio Series ’86 Core class Decepticon Rumble! This is Rumble as we saw him in the 1986 animated Transformers movie from Sunbow.

Both modes look outstanding. His cassette mode is nice, but he really shines in his bot mode with his piledrivers.

Articulation is pretty decent for Core class. Due to the design of his piledrivers, there’s no elbow / becep joint, but the sacrifice is worth it.

Quality is good. I have no major issues with the figure. My only concern is long-term, with the use of ball joints.

Overall value is on point with MSRP. I paid $8.49 USD at a local Target, and there’s no doubt he’s worth it.

My conclusion – SS-86 Rumble is a figure you’re certainly going to want to pick up if you’re a fan of the 1986 movie or cartoons. He looks the part, he’s fun to play with, accessories are fun, transformation is intuitive, and just overall fits right in with the rest of that ’86 studio series line. You’re certainly going to enjoy having Rumble side by side with Megatron and Soundwave as they take on Optimus Prime and the Autobot forces.
