This is an overview of some of the content I have shared during my first week of doing shorts and a little about my background and what I'm trying to accomplish. I'm Jimmy Hudson. I have been teaching Guitar since the mid-90s. I was close friends with Shawn Lane, his tech for many shows from 1996 through 2003, and was fortunate to have been able to learn from him from time to time as well. I am the Co-Founder of The American Guitar Institute in Memphis. I am also an alumnus of The Atlanta Institute of Music, where I also got to work with Guitar Legend Barry Richman as his tech and student. I have toured as a guitarist with many bands over many years, worked in the studios, and taught many students. I want to be able to offer my No nonsense approach of learning the Guitar for free on youtube, as too many friends and heroes have passed on, and I know what it is like to not be able to afford something you badly want to learn. I want my daughter and anyone else to be able to use my lessons and experiences to become stronger musicians themselves.
