On July 7th, 2010. At around 8.40 pm, air traffic control at Hangzhou, Xiaoshan International Airport in China, received an alarming communication from an inbound flight reporting that they had seen a possible unidentified aerial threat over their airport.

Just moments later, due to the unexplained anomaly, aviation directors ceased all operations, which meant grounding all outbound flights and diverting all incoming air traffic until the potential danger had cleared or been identified.

In total, eighteen flights were affected, however, normal operations would resume an hour later.

News of the incident captured the attention of social media users and the Chinese media, sparking a firestorm of speculation on the UFO's identity.
