Under the NRLM program, Kashmiri females start mushroom farming in Kulgam.
On December 19, Kashmiri women began growing mushrooms in the Kulgam area of South Kashmir. It was launched in conjunction with the agriculture department as part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) program. The agricultural department of Kulgam provided the aspiring business owners with units of mushroom cultivation on a subsidised basis. To turn it into a successful business, they gave Kashmiri girls a 50% subsidy and technical training.
