Touring Australia - Take A Journey Around Australia (1993)

Touring Australia is an informative and entertaining film that combines an overall perspective of Australia with fascinating stories that relate to special places, individuals, events and recreational actives. These stories form the fabric of the film, stories about the historic Rocks area of Sydney, the spectacular Great Barrier Reef, the colourful Ghan railway, the mystical Ayres Rock and the world famous Sydney Opera House.

Touring Australia touches on Australia's history - its colonial heritage, the struggle for independence and unique position beside the states of Asia. It also shows the timelessness of its land mass, special animals and the blending of many cultures.

We see the great modern cities of Australia from the dazzling beauty of cosmopolitan Sydney, to Darwin and the tropical town of the "Top End". We see enchanting places from the great wilderness of southwest Tasmania to the grandeur of Kakadu a myriad of places in between.
