Meditation without the Woo Woo with Greg Mannion

I've spoken before about how my friend Suzanne Jane Taylor introduced me to Soma Breath and I went and did a retreat. While on the retreat I met today's guest and he just made me laugh. What I loved about Greg Mannion of Infinite Breath is that he takes all the kind of woo woo stuff out of meditation and he has completely transformed my life.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

Greg used to be an alcoholic. He felt as if he was dying inside. Greg spent years feeling disillusioned by life, drinking every day, ignoring that he was broken. Thanks to a good friend, Greg admitted his life had become unmanageable. Then, he started the steps that changed his life completely.
Greg’s eyes were opened up to the benefits of meditation, something he’d dismissed in the past. The more he practised, the better he felt, and the more his life changed for the better. The catalyst for Greg’s rebirth was a Wim Hof breathwork event in Barcelona.
The pathway to freedom doesn’t have to be one of the sacred journeyings into your shadow. You don’t need a guru or shaman telling you what to do – unless that’s your thing.
The Infinite way is a playful, and authentic approach to meditation that is accessible to everyone, using breathwork, music, and movement, helping you turn meditation into a creative and empowering practice you will want to do every day.
It’s Greg’s mission to demystify the process of meditation, showing everyone that it's easy to do and highly enjoyable, especially when you approach it with your own creative imagination and a sense of freedom, you can create an experience, not just a meditation.

BEST MOMENTS

‘The opposite of addiction is connection’
‘It’s the scorpion's tail, you're enjoying it, you feel great, but then all of a sudden the tail will come round and sting you right in the ass’
‘You're not going to get it until you believe in it’
