Performance Notes:

“The First Noel” is a much beloved carol from the early nineteenth century, originating in the southernmost region of England. As with many traditional carols, the words tell the Christmas story, the Angel appearing to shepherds, three Wise Men following a star, and meeting the Christ-child.
