A weak disturbance brings light snow to the area later this evening. A dusting up to an inch of snow is possible, especially northwest of Milwaukee. The light snow wraps up before we get out the door tomorrow morning. A much stronger system is taking aim at the Great Lakes later this week. A light to moderate snow begins Wednesday night into Thursday. Some mixing of rain is also possible. As of right now, the main part of the storm moves in Thursday night through Friday. Heavy snow and winds gusting up to 50 mph is possible. This would create blizzard conditions. Considerable blowing snow is likely into Saturday as well. You should really rethink any travel plans, especially Thursday night into Friday. This has the potential to be a big one. We will start predicting specific snow amounts Tuesday.
