Prepping - Cyber Attack Costa Rica in a State of Emergency

Costa Rica has been forced to declare a State of Emergency after a hacker attack resulted in the shutdown of the countries customs and tax services.

The attack has been ongoing since April with Costa Rica seeking to not pay the ransom and working with the US Government.

One union estimates the cost at $200,000,000 due to not being able to use any online digital services for the government.

Affected Departments are;

The Finance Ministry
The Ministry of Science, Innovation, Technology, and Telecommunications
The Labor and Social Security Ministry
The Social Development and Family Allowances Fund
The National Meteorological Institute
The Costa Rican Social Security Fund
The Interuniversity Headquarters of Alajuela

672GB of stolen data has been released by the hacker most of which will be highly semsitive such as personal information, bank accounts, payment authoritys and other information that the government holds.
