QUOTES, Founding Fathers Edition, ep21 John Dickinson & John Adams (their dispute)

In the episode we have the disagreements between John Dickinson and John Adams. While Adams’ state was under direct occupation from the British, it appears as though the man Adams had once looked up to (John Dickinson), was now having doubts about the revolution. He’d rather petition them with letters likened to that of a disobedient child to their overbearing parent. Adams saw these petitions as fruitless, with this ultra CHAD quote he made remarks like “we should be buying gun powder”. Maybe if Dickinson’s city of Philadelphia was under occupation, he’d have the same mindset.
