Naijha speaks with Omowale (Omo-Wah-LAY) Adewale (A-DAY-Wah-LAY), a farmer and co-owner at Liberation Farm. He is an organizer with over 20 years of community programming; addressing food sovereignty and quality healthcare access in Black and Brown communities. Wale is the co-founder of Grassroots Artists MovEment (G.A.ME) and the founder of Black VegFest. He is an advocate for animal welfare.

Omowale is the editor of Brotha Vegan, an anthology discussing the struggles, triumphs and nuances of Black vegan men. The second edition to An Introduction to Veganism and Agricultural Globalism, a food and agricultural handbook with vegan recipes and international lessons on food sovereignty will be released by Lantern Publishing and Media on August 13. On that date, Omowale will autograph copies at the 5th Annual Black VegFest at Commodore Barry Park in Brooklyn, New York.
