Hundreds of believers in Cuba pray for health and prosperity on St. Lazarus Day

Pilgrims paid their respects at the National Shrine of Saint Lazarus, near Havana. The prayers for health and prosperity in the coming year take place annually on December 17 to honor Babalu Aye, the deity with healing power, also known as San Lazaro.
