First Time Home Buyers Are Forgotten In BC Real Estate

First time home buyers are feeling left behind as the average cost of real estate in BC is over the $500,000 maximum purchase price criteria currently established to qualify for BC’s First Time Home Buyers’ Program. The First Time Home Buyers’ Program exempts qualifying first time buyers from paying the property transfer tax associated with the purchase.

In this video, Surrey real estate specialist Steve Karrasch of Macdonald Realty discusses the First Time Home Buyers’ Program, how the program benefits first time home buyers and what should happen now to ensure that first time buyers continue to benefit from the program.
