Frog to HANDSTAND Transition HELP! [Banded] // School of Calisthenics

The transition from the frogstand into the handstand can be the most tricky and frustrating step! The 'stepping stone' is the tuck handstand or as we like to call it the 'Stevenson Chair!'. It requires pushing strength from the shoulders and triceps but also the control to manage the rotation as we take the hips and rotate them to stack on top of the shoulder and hands.
To help with both the strength and the control the band assistance 'tool' or progression is one that we love to use with student to not only help develop the strength but when set up correctly as in the video it help guide the movement and provide some stability and control to the hips.
