Ep. #283: Can cops enter home to arrest husband for domestic when he says you can't come in?

📌 You cannot make a warrantless entry into a home to make an arrest without consent or exigency. Payton v. New York, 445 U.S. 573 (1980). Even if the arrest was for a violent triple murder, you would have to articulate consent or exigency before entering. Also, the entry should be “peaceful,” if possible.
