Pro Teaches n00bs: Lesson 16: Kamandi Challenge

On the new lesson of Pro Teaches n00bs, Bianca joins me as we go over DC's 2017 celebration of what would have been Jack Kirby's 100th birthday with the Kamandi Challenge! Various creative teams (two on the first and last issues) were to work together on telling a big story with one of Jack's great creations, Kamandi, the Last Boy on Earth.

The requirement? Each issue had to end on a Cliffhanger that was possible to resolve (And trust me some push that to the limit) for the next creative team to utilize. Also there had to be consistancy between the artwork (Which explains why it took two years to prepare for this)

This has an all star line up of creators! Paul Levitz, Gail Simone, Rob Williams, Greg Pak, Tom King, Keith Giffen, Marguerite Bennett, Steve Orlando, Bill Willingham, James Tynion IV, Jimmy Palmiotti, Peter J. Tomasi, Dan Didio, Dan Abnett, Philip Tan, Ivan Reis, Carlos D'Anda, Amanda Conner, Neal Adams, Dale Eaglesham, Keith Giffen, Various, Freddie E Williams II, José Luis García-López, Ryan Sook, Walter Simonson, Shane Davis, Kevin Eastman, Steve Rude, Dan Jurgens!

The saddest part is this ended up also being a dedication to Len Wein, who passed away around the same time. He was supposed to wrap things up (Since he had such close ties to Kirby) but in the end, Paul Levitz would wrap things up.
