Ukrainian and Western air defense systems wasted substantial resources on false targets (decoys)

During the missile attack on December 16, Ukrainian air defense crews spent a significant part of the resource on decoys fired by the Russian Armed Forces. The reason lies in the unprofessionalism of Ukrainian fighters, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"When the attack was repelled by Ukrainian and Western air defense systems, a substantial resource was spent on intentionally launched decoys, which [helped to] expose and destroy four radar stations of the Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems near Andrusovka, Pridneprovskoye in the #dnepropetrovsk Region, as well as near Novotavricheskaya and Nikolay-Pole in the #zaporozhye Region," he said.

Konashenkov added that unprofessional actions of the Ukrainian air defense crews had caused damage to civilian infrastructure on the ground.

Во время ракетного удара 16 декабря украинские расчеты ПВО потратили значительную часть ресурса на #ложные #цели, выпущенные ВС РФ. Причина кроется в непрофессионализме украинских боевиков, сообщили в Министерстве обороны РФ.

По словам официального представителя МО Игоря Конашенкова, комплексы украинского #пво своими действиями причинили #ущерб гражданской инфраструктуре на земле и выдали свои позиции.

"Вскрыты позиции и ликвидированы четыре радиолокационные станции зенитных ракетных комплексов С-300 Украины в районах Андрусовки, Приднепровского Днепропетровской области, а также Новотаврического и Николай-Поле Запорожской области", – подчеркнул Конашенков.
