2 1/2 pounds of Yukon Gold potato's peeled
1 medium size sweet onion
3/4 cup of Matzah meal
2 eggs
salt and pepper
vegetable oil for frying
Topping:
1 cup of caramelized onions
1 tbs. of brown sugar
2 Macintosh apples peeled and chopped
2 tbs. of unsalted butter
2 tbs. of sour cream
1/4 tsp. of salt
Red chili flakes optional
