Friday Night Frenzy | Depp Reply Brief. FTX Bankruptcy Bombshells. SBF & Bahamian Securities Comm.

In all of the reporting this week regarding the charging and arrest of Samuel Bankman-Fried, the media has missed some of the biggest details that were filed in the bankruptcy proceeding in Delaware. I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that I'm shocked we haven't seen front page coverage of the allegations being made (and, more importantly, the receipts attached). And then, as has been so typical with this show - of course, we've got a last-minute addition to the docket because a new brief was filed in the Depp v. Heard appeals. Buckle up, because here. we. go.

On the docket (UPDATED):

Depp v. Heard Appeal - Depp filed his reply brief in his appeal of the $2 million judgment that was entered in favor of Heard and against him. Recall that this is the appeal filed by Depp, so this is the 3rd and final brief of the issues raised in his appeal before oral arguments. Let's take a look.

FTX Bankruptcy, Bahamian Securities Commission, and Samuel Bankman-Fried - a fight is underway in the FTX bankruptcy case between FTX Global (consolidated cases of U.S. bankruptcy filings) and the Joint Provisional Liquidators (JPL - the Bahamian liquidators of FTX International). Let me ask you this - what's the connection between SBF's constant reference to being unable to access his passwords/data have to do with the Bahamian Securities Commission, the fight between FTX Global and the JPLs, and SBF's renewed application for bail??? Tune in and I'll lay out the connections.

Girardi Bankruptcy - the claw-back actions have commenced, with the trustee in the Girardi personal bankruptcy case, with adversary proceedings being filed against former employees, judgment creditors, and Erika Girardi. Let's do a brief review of where things stand.
