Ruby Nell Bridges Hall

Civil rights advocate Ruby Neal Bridges-Hall was born in the United States on September 8, 1954. On November 14, 1960, during the New Orleans school desegregation issue, she became the first African American youngster to attend the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in Louisiana.
