The vessel design is an Austal Patrol 58 variant, and is one of eight vessels operated by the ABF. Two Cape Class vessels are also operated by the Royal Australian Navy with another two ordered for the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard in July 2018 with delivery expected in 2020.
