The spectro-chrome essentially uses colored lenses and a magnifying glass with strong light source to focus specific colors to a focual point like burning an ant with a magnifying glass.

With Sledge hammers they smashed each one of them to pieces as the old man, his patients and his neighbors watched. They wanted to deliver a message and did so.
